Our Workcover Services

New WorkCover Claims Assessment

If you’ve suffered a recent injury in the workplace, GXU will endeavour to prioritise your diagnostic imaging, so that we can provide you with a prompt diagnosis and help you safely return to work.

Depending on the sort of imaging you need, and when the injury occurred, we may require pre-approval from your insurer. When making your appointment, please let us know as much information as possible, including your claim and employer details, so that we may arrange all the documentation necessary for your appointment.

Pre-Existing WorkCover Claims Review

Follow-up imaging as part of an existing claim is easily performed at GXU, especially if you have had your previous imaging with us. All we need to confirm is your claim number and insurance company, so that we may contact them for pre-approval if required.

CTP Medical Claims

If you’ve recently been involved in a motor vehicle accident, you may be eligible to lodge a CTP claim with your insurer. If approved, GXU can perform diagnostic imaging as part of your CTP claim, to help get you back on the road.

When making an appointment, please let us know your CTP claim number and your insurer, so that we may contact your insurer for documentation.

Workcover Costs

For imaging that is performed as part of an approved claim, there is no out-of-pocket expense. We liaise with your insurance company to cover the cost of your examination. If you don’t have an approved claim, please get in touch with our Workers Compensation Concierge, and we can discuss your options.

Frequently Asked Questions

After a workplace injury, the first step is to inform your employer. They can provide you with any immediate assistance that you may require, and should contact the insurance company regarding the accident.

Once the insurance company has been notified, they will provide you with a claim number. Shortly after, you’ll be assigned a case manager, who will be your first point of contact regarding your claim.

The documentation that we require to perform diagnostic imaging as part of a CTP or WorkCover claim includes an imaging request form from a doctor, and in most cases, pre-approval from the insurer. Provided you have a claim number, the GXU team is happy to arrange pre-approval on your behalf.

If you have already been issued a claim number from the insurance company, arranging pre-approval to perform imaging under a CTP claim can happen within a matter of days. By providing us with your claim number, name of insurer and the date of the accident, we can contact the insurer for pre-approval and have it ready in time for your appointment.
