Penny’s career as a radiographer has spanned across Australia and the U.K, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of radiography along the way.After completing her degree from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, Penny was accepted to complete her first year of training at The Prince of Wales and Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. Here, she gained valuable experience in various departments, including Cardiac Cath Lab, Paediatrics, Emergency, and general x-ray.Penny then set out on a U.K adventure, spending two whirlwind years working in and around London, before returning to Australia and settling in Melbourne. She continued her career at St Vincent’s Hospital, working across mammography, DEXA, MRI, CT and general x-ray, as well as assisting in theatre.Finally, she returned to N.S.W and has been a part of the GXU team ever since.
In her downtime, Penny enjoys hiking, taking her dog to the beach, and spending time with her twin daughters.
